NSW Minor Trade – Shade Sails, Awnings and Security Grilles

RPL is a Fast Track process that can be completed in a short time frame. It’s based on skills, knowledge and evidence you have acquired over the years to meet the requirements for the qualification.
This qualification provides a nationally recognised trade outcome, covering work in residential and commercial applications.
To qualify for the RPL pathway, it is recommended that you:

Are at least 18 years old. Younger students may face challenges in meeting RPL criteria, as the process relies on acquiring knowledge and skills through life, work, and study experiences.
CPC10120 Certificate I in Construction with the following electives and additional units
Units of Competency

CPCCCM2004 Handle construction materials
CPCCCM1011 Undertake basic estimation and costing
CPCCCO2013 Carry out concreting to simple forms
CPCCCM3003 – Work safely around electrical sources, services and assets

Evidence for RPL may include:

Proven work experience
Life experiences (including voluntary work and leisure pursuits)
Previous study e.g. qualifications, industry training, professional development programs or units
References from qualified tradespersons
