This qualification provides a nationally recognised trade outcome, covering work in residential and commercial applications.

To qualify for the RPL pathway, it is recommended that you:

• Have basic skills in the use of construction hand tools and tasks.
• Are at least 16 years old. Younger students may face challenges in meeting RPL criteria, as the process relies on acquiring knowledge and skills through life, work, and study experiences.

If we find any gaps in your knowledge, skills, or experience, we’ll give you extra training that suits your needs. You’ll get up to 4 training units, and the best part is, there are no hidden costs. The training duration will be adjusted to fit your individual circumstances.

Evidence for RPL may include:

• Life experiences, including voluntary work, leisure pursuits, or other activities that have helped develop skills and knowledge
• Previous academic or professional achievements, such as completed qualifications, industry training, or professional development programs
• References from qualified individuals who can attest to your skills and experience
