Overview

This qualification represents the role of highly skilled senior operators who use a broad range of tourism or travel skills combined with managerial skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to coordinate travel or tourism operations. They have the ability to work independently, manage teams, and make strategic business decisions.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in many travel and tourism industry sectors as a departmental or small business manager. The diversity of employers includes travel agencies, tour wholesalers, tour operators, inbound tour operators, holiday parks and resorts, tourist attractions, visitor information centres, and other tourism businesses.

    There are no specific requirements or prerequisites needed to enroll in this course.

  • RPL

    RPL

    Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that can be completed in a short time frame. It’s based on skills, knowledge and evidence you have already acquired over the years to meet the requirements for the qualification.

    Evidence for RPL may include:

    • Relevant work experience that has been proven and verified
    • Life experiences, including voluntary work, leisure pursuits, or other activities that have helped develop skills and knowledge
    • Previous academic or professional achievements, such as completed qualifications, industry training, or professional development programs
    • References from qualified individuals who can attest to your skills and experience

    RPL can be conducted via online delivery and through workplace training.

    If a student is unable to demonstrate competence in certain units required to complete the qualification, they are offered a customised Gap Training program to help them gain the necessary skills. This program can be tailored to meet their individual needs and circumstances. The RPL Fee includes up to 4 units of Gap Training, but additional units may require additional fees.

    3 months enrolment period to complete RPL.
